https://www.ted.com/talks/asher_hasan_s_message_of_peace_from_pakistan
in this riviting ted talk, asher hasan travels to ted talks, despite the secirty hassels enterining the country because of his race. he talks about the troubles being a pakistani male as he says that "it makes it 100,000 times more difficult to acheive my peace and my dreams in any country, including my own just based off of what i am." hasan often uses logos with example with pictures and messages from the pakistani people, showing that almost every one of them just want peace in their country and peace in the freedom of dreaming that they desire. hasan also compared the pakistani culture to the western culture like showing a 9 year old marrying a 20 year old, snd COMPARING that to a 23 year old MARRYING a 24 year old. he also says that the war on terrioism in pakistan is at an all tiem high. with hundreds of people dying weekly by bombings. comparing that to the last major terriosit attack that happened in america, 9/11. hasan is never trying to entertain the audience but rather spreading a message for the people in pakistan all around the world ad himself. his main message is "peace is will never be found unless we all love, not hate. my people struggle all around thw worl being blamed for something that they didnt do and as a result, cannot live a dream that they desire." this talk can relate to many of the topics that we've read in class such as the great gatsby or the diane soyeer video on miniumum wage. the great gatsby shows that there were never any other races that became successful, as most of them were peasants and treated brutally in the 20's. while the diane soyer video shows that mainly immigrants and other races were living off of minimum wage jobs. the same is said in hasan's talk, he says and shows that pakistani people are treated horribly with the majority of the population being called terriost by millions. often times the treatment the pakistani people recieve is deadly wheter it is in pakistan or the western world. hasa also pulls up a disturbing fact, that in the western world middle eastern men and women have a tougher time applying for jobs and awhite male or female. as a result it leaves millions of paksitani people either homeless, or with minimum wage jobs. overall, i can relate to this ted talks , with that fact that i am a PAKISTANI male and i have RECEIVED this type of treatment still today. i aslo thought that asher hasan did a MARVELOUS job capturing the horros of pakistan and the conflicts the pakistani people recieve daily, and projecting it to the audience.
